Hi, I am a mac user and downloaded the alpha client only to find out it does not work for macs. Another alpha tester and friend recommended I download Cross over for Macs which is similiar to bootcamp so i can test the game. Doing so i had to download windows media player 9, microsoft ole, internet explorer, ect, ect. This is extremely inconvenient and will negatively effect dragon oath especially in america. To prove that point look at warhammer online. Same basic problem only for pcs and they only have 500,000 active subscribers which is nothing in comparison to world of warcraft which is for pc and mac users. Convenience is very important nowadays especially in america a country where things are handed to us instead of making us work for them. I hope when dragon oath launches it will have a pc and mac version.

Cross your fingers! Not many games get Mac support nowadays, but there's always a chance.

To be completely honest, I, and I am sure many others, think of a Mac as more of a video/artistic computer... hence the software available for it and made by apple themselves. I never thought of a mac as a gaming computer, because of so little support from 95% of online games and games in general show towards Macs.
May I suggest dual-booting XP? :)

I'm trying to do that right now myself...but it's a hassle. It's practically as expensive to upgrade (if you have to) to Leopard OS X 10.5 or higher and then buy a copy of Windows if you don't have it...Two OS's can run you close to $300. That's a lot.

actually if any of you watch g4 thats the official video game channel for 2008 they ran a poll of the best video gaming computers available at the time, sitting in #1 was the powermac desktop and sitting in #2 was macbook pro laptop followed by pcs below including a $4000+ sony computer, to say a mac is a visual artist computer is a thing of the past. I am going to be going to school for game design so i use macs and pcs and will be using both for a long time. Apple is actually making a gaming system partnered with atari so expect to be hearing of ppl use macs far more often then before. 21% of world of warcraft users are mac users, 50% of north american world of warcraft players use a mac. World of warcraft is the largest subscriber mmorpg in the world so i think this is something that should really be pushed on the developers. And macs are going to only increase in popularity. I hope to play dragon oath in the future :D

A M E N ! I think Mac's get a little too much hate from PC users. I use both honestly and find they have their ups and downs. I hate windows and that's the only reason I have to push more towards a Mac. OS X rocks to me...and I'm a visual artist as well.

That's odd, you search best gaming pc, gaming computer, custom gaming computer, etc etc... all PCs or PC-Building companies... I've never heard of using mac as a gaming PC, and, like I said before, very few MMOs support mac. I think you'd be better off with linux for a gaming PC then a mac.

As well, macs are usually more expensive and less power then PCs... just look at the new PC commercials for example, the ones where they say if you can find a computer like this for under a grand we'll buy it for you...

Windows OS is only going to get better and better, when Mac OS seems to stay basically the same, just perhaps less resource useage, bigger monitors, better artistic/etc programs, and maybe a bit better performance then they used to be.

Windows is still the main gaming OS, and PCs are still the best price for gaming PCs, you just have to find a good custom gaming-comp building company. If you want some suggestions, I can give them to you [this goes for anyone].

Mac has its jobs, and Windows has its jobs. Almost all hardcore or even mild gamers have PCs. Macs just don't cut it when it comes to most games anymore.

As well, to redo a game for Mac takes a lot of time and money. Most MMOs made for macs are high popularity, big company games... for a reason. They can afford it, and the player community is big enough that there were enough requests.

For those who haven't tried Windows 7, think of it like taking the best points of Windows XP and Vista, combining them together, improving it, and making it more resource friendly. That is Windows 7. It rocks, alot. And it's not even RTM version yet [I think that's coming in July 13] [RTM = Release To Manufacture]

Sorry if I seem a bit biased here, I am an avid gamer, a Windows lover, and don't have much experience with Macs besides for articles read, and brief test periods I have done, as well as word of mouth between me, other gamers/friends/etc.
