Taoists the rightous path of spiritual power and grace. The form of Tai Chi has enabled the Taoists of Wu Tang Mountain to paralyze, and defeat their enemies without blood shed. Showing their true grace in multiple enemy battles, the Taoist is hard to withstand. Taoists should boost their intelligence as well as their stamina. Even though stamina is not heard of as a primary stat, it will boost their hit points and make them not as vulnerable to attacks. Their attack is spiritual which makes them a ranged attack, knowing this the Taoist should keep out of harms way during fights. Their primary elemental attack is thunder which causes mass damage to enemies when used. The power of their thunder attacks renders the enemies speechless and immobile. They may be the strongest spiritual attacker, but because of this they have the weakest defense and hit points of all the 9 classes.

Skills:

Adds - Hit value
Book one is the basic book to boost, and the cheapest to level the disciplines. This book is important because it gives the Taoist his Intelligence buff, which enables a higher range of spiritual attack.

http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt74/RDryburgh13/Book2.jpg

Adds - Reflex value
Book two also has a very valuable buff for the Taoist, Nourishing Sphere. This adds a percentage of max mp to the caster. The Sword Barrage is an awesome aspect to have in the Direct Damage line of skills. Also two of the paralyzing, and slowing skills which are great combo breakers.

Adds - Max Hit Point value
Book Three has a very important skill for when in a group and fighting a boss, Bubble Blockade. This stream skill locks the enemy in place immobilizing him to move. If the enemy is on a player too far for the enemy to hit, the enemy will be stuck in place and the team is able to go all out on him. Growing Flame is a great thunder skill, but a bit too slow to cast. Sort of making it pointless since the time the player could have got 5 hits in, the skill will do about the same damage if not less.

Adds - Spirit Defense value
Book Four has the first continous buff in it, Mighty Defender. This skill is very useful for every attack the Taoist makes may have a MP drain on the enemy and gives it to the Taoist. This includes normal attacks as well not just skills. The Passive skill Tiger Shield will keep the Taoist away from spiritual harm giving a huge boost in defense. Lantern Ring is very useful combination with Mighty Defender, the MP boost can be accompanied by the MP drain with halved damage to HP. This keeping the Taoist alive.

Adds - Spirit Attack value
Book Five, one of the most important books. Without this book the Taoist is weak in Spiritual Attack. Not only does the Taoist gain Spiritual Attack from Spirit Bonus skill, but also increasing the Discipline level of the book itself. Spirit Bonus needs the Taoist to use One Handed or Dual Swords. Another great skill to have later on is Wings of Torus. This allows the Taoist to have the consumption of skills and physical attacks by a certain percentage.

Adds - Max MP Value
Book Six, the rage book. This book focuses rage instead of MP, allowing the Taoist to shun the enemies in a different way. This is probably a great asset for PvP, since there is two awesome skills. Revolving Spells which takes away all immobilizing effects on the Taoist, and Purification of Body which resets all the Taoist's skill cooldown.

Skill Combinations:

There are a few combinations that work great with the Taoist, I will go over a few here to help you decide how to create your own and work on how to better your play style. One of my favorite combos is to use Trellised Trap > Bubble Blockade. This combo will slow down the target enough so the Taoist has time to use Bubble Blockade to immobilize the enemy. Another great combo in a party is to use both of the AoE spells Trellised Trap > Thorn Whirlwind and then use Primary Hidden ( you can obtain this skill by visiting the Assassin trainer in Da Li after completign the required quests to get skill tablets. ). This combo will allow the Taoist to use both of the AoEs without having any issue of gaiing hate from all the mobs. Hope this gives you inititive to create your own combos and better your Taoist.

after he gives the quest giver gives you a quest, your quest log icon should start blinking. that will tell u the details of the quest, and tell you what npc coords to go to.

if its to locate an area in the class town, push tab and look for the flashing blue dot.
