Are you in the mood for some PvP action mixed with an 'escort the VIP' objective? Do you like partying up and defending your party leader with your life? Can you handle bringing a GM back to the city safely? Is this too many questions, and not enough getting to the point?! GOOD!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Here's how Betrayal! works:
A Game Master will hide out in a specific zone in a location that may or may not be easily spotted. When he/she is hidden, there will be an announcement that informs everyone that the event has begun. The Zone will be named, and it will be up to you to go find the GM.
Once you find the GM, you must invite him/her to your party in order to gain 'control' over them. Once in your party, the GM will follow the party leader to a predetermined city, which will be announced when the event starts.
The GM will only follow the party leader, and will leave party if they lose target of the party leader. So don't get on your mount and go running off, as the GM will run or walk considerably slower than you and your party members.
Here's where it gets interesting...
After running for a short while, the GM will stop moving for 2 minutes. During this time the GM will announce their coordinates on the map across the server, along with the name of the party leader.
This is the opportunity for other parties to find the party with the GM, and strike with Furious Vengeance!! The ONLY way for another party to get the GM to leave their current party is to assassinate the party leader.
Once the GM's party leader is killed, they will leave party and stay put for the next available party invite.
This process will be repeated until there is a party that can successfully fight off the other parties trying to steal their valuable GM VIP. Once that party finally gets the GM to town, the event is over, and the winning party will be announced and given a prize :D

A few rules:
1) The Party Leader cannot be changed once the GM is in your party. None of that "ZOMG the PL is gonna die! Change leaderz so we can winzzzz!!11" nonsense. That will be considered cheating, and shame on you.
2) You cannot PM/whisper, or otherwise ask the GM where they are located. If you do, you will be ignored.
3) Please avoid PM'ing the GM during the event. During this time they will need to communicate with party members, as well as announcing updates for the event.
4) Your party must have no more than 4 people in it, so that the GM can join your party.
5) This is a PvP Event! If you do not wish to get killed, this event is probably not for you! Please no complaining about getting killed... at the event where that's one of the main objectives!
More details will be added closer to the start date to refine which faction goes first, location, etc. Feedback is appreciated, as long as the thread stays on topic. I'd like to see questions and feedback/constructive criticism about this event only.
