View Full Version : Which bell are you using?

From what I get, the three "starter" bells (the ones you can get to draco / take the ability out of easily) are:

Bright (attack oriented stats) - provides a nice low cost dot
Glaring (healing oriented stats) - provides a long cooldown AoE HoT
Serene (mana regen stats?) - provides a long cooldown mana regen

So: which do we keep and which we smash into tiny pieces to eat its soul... ehrm, I mean, to get the power?

At the moment I'm luggin around both bright and glaring, switching to them if I need to be healer or dps. I do not think I'll be smashing the glaring anytime soon, because +vigor when I heal is always good, and I'll probably will not smash the bright one because, well, the skill is a bit sucky after all...
I mean, another dot, gee, now I have 5 instead of 4, all with different durations, so I have to track yet another microscopic icon with an almost invisible time-left counter. Ok, it's nice farming around because it's very low mp, but that aside it's pretty crappy.
The mana regen sounds nice, but I still do not have the Serene bell, and no idea what its stats are.

In the end I can see myself keeping the three of them (assuming I manage to get the last one), dracoing em all at some point (right now it's not economically doable, but I guess that empire quests will net us more money), and then breaking my draco bright only when I manage to at least fill up the first tier of the flash-arrow.

So, what about you guys? Anyone considered it yet?

Looking forward to my "Bright Arrow" (lvl40) Bell. Available at Devil's Tower, "only" 10g and 10 Devil's Marks (10 position illusions).

I am currently using and loving the Serene bell. I've found that whether DR is trying to DPS, heal, or hybrid they lose their mana incredibly quickly -_-. Even though it has a long cooldown, that vast quick burst mana gain is worth it.

as a quick update, I found out that maxed serene is superior to bright. You do not lose too much dps-wise (4% damage&healing and a bit more on hungry ghosts) and you gain on defence. So I just smelted my bright, and I'm luggin around my serene glaring only.

I'll see what happens when I max draco the bright, but I think that, for now, I'll keep my serene for istances and the like. The vigor on cure it's worth it.

If and when I'll get a new healing bell I'll definitely smelt the serene, because, even with the long cooldown, the healing spell works in soul form.

Can you only use 1 rank 1 tali skill after you use Azure Jade? Or can you use all?

You can use the skills of all of them once it's smelted. Just need it on your skill bar :)
