View Full Version : Make Arch pets unkillable

They need to make archpets unkillable or atleast untargetable while being caught, because i have had 5 archpets killed on me while i was trying to catch them just today alone. I find it stupid that some jerk can decide to just come along and kill the rare pet your catching.

Agreed. This hasn't happened to me but I can see how annoying it would be. I think they have this protection on mounts already.

Plus the helper Taoists are always around killing the mobs you are trying to tame. You have to hit tame so much earlier and then there is a chance it will fail if the health is not low enough.

I do agree, however it is set up like any other pet you can tame. Would be nice if archtypes are unkillable like mounts. I've had one killed on me as well :(

But.. mounts are killable as well. Damage over time attacks can kill mounts. The last hit before the mount reaches 20% health will go through normally; so if it does over-damage and kills the mount, it will.

I agree that archtypes are more vulnerable than mounts. I think all archtypes normally are spawn for a specific player so you won't be able to tame someone else's--unless they go too far away from it, making it no longer attached to that player. But the reason for this was to limit stealing of archtypes so making them have that same health status as mounts only makes it more inline.
