What does the book do, and is it really worth 400g or $20?

Yes, it's a relic. These are a books like the ones you learn your class disciples out of, exept these you have to buy the book (relic) and the skill separately. Relics are worth maybe 300g-450g and the skills are worth about 5g-7g. You can also get these from the thiefs event in the classes but they are hard to get. The book you can also buy in the token shop for about a price of 2240 tokens or something like that. The skills have a massive amount of effect then you're normal disciple skill.
