Mouse Interaction - Can't talk to NPCs or activate skills

This may seem silly or crazy, but left clicking on a NPC does nothing. I can't interact with any npcs. I have tried restarting the game. It still doesn't work. Right-clicking doesn't work.

Since that didn't seem to work, I thought...what the heck I'll kill one of those little spirit bunnies. However, something seems wrong with my mouse controls. If I click on a skill it paste it into my chat window instead of activating it.

Any idea what is going? I'm sure there is something simple I"m just missing.

Edit: I'm playing in full screen mode with all settings maxed. Is there a setting or button I could have pressed to get me stuck in some kind of alternate mouse mode? More details - When I hover my mouse over an NPC it will turn to a chat bubble. Right-click will select them. Then what? Left click just makes me move. I can be standing on top of an npc and left click when the icon is a chat bubble and it tries to move me. What am I doing wrong? If I left click on any items it tries to post them in my chat window.

There's another thread (http://us.changyou.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6490&highlight=mouse)about this issue. I just checked it to see if anyone posted something to help, but I didn't see anything. :(

The only thing I can think of is setting everything in game back to the default?

Thanks. I missed that threat in my search. I kept searching on mouse and clicking errors but didn't see anything. I'll post my issues there to keep it all in the same thread.
