when the beta is over the characters will be deleted from the accounts and we will have to start again, anyone know if this is true, and someone might say when the beta ends.

Yes, it is true. From closed beta to open beta, there will be a complete wipe.

Besides for the knowledge gained by playing the game before others - no, not really. You can do some CB events and have a chance at getting one or two nice little things for OB.

Aw well that's a shame. Gonna be hard sticking to it knowing my character's gonna get trashed who knows how long from now :<
