Hey last_exile,

Sorry to let you know but right now there isn't an auto response to attacks made by NPC's. Think of it as a more realistic way to respond and to keep you involved in the game. If you still have your default attack (usually F1) you can begin attacking easily with that.

I know you can also switch the key mapping so that you could change a button such as tab to toggle through NPC's/targets. So by hitting tab, then F1 you could make a fast response to monster aggression/NPC attacks.
