OathKeeper Announcement

Dragon Oath will once again be selecting members of the community to help us moderate the game and forums! These select few will be called “OathKeepers”. Since the Game Master team can’t be everywhere at once, the OathKeepers will be helping us keep better watch over Dragon Oath.

The OathKeeper team will be actively helping in the following areas:

Forum Support
They will help players find the answers to their questions and report any issues brought up on the forums. They will also have their own designated area on the forums to discuss current and future events in Dragon Oath.

In-Game Events
OathKeepers will assist in organizing, running and promoting events introduced by the GM team.

In-Game Support
OathKeepers will provide answers to questions, work as mediators for disputes, and generally assist the players to enjoy their gameplay. If they can’t resolve the issue, they will report it to a GM and ask for assistance in the matter.

OathKeepers cannot ban a player from the forums, or the game. That is a power only a GM has. But as the OathKeeper team works in collaboration with the Game Master team, they can contact a GM, and when a GM is asked for, one always comes and takes the appropriate actions against the wrong-doers.

OathKeepers will be rewarded with a special gift (TBA) each month for their help.

Here are the main criteria we consider when selecting OathKeepers. :)

1. Strong English language skills (when writing and chatting.)

2. Regular access to the internet, e-mail, MSN and the Dragon Oath forums.

3. No history of disciplinary infractions or of repeatedly starting player conflicts.

4. A sincere desire to help the Dragon Oath community, rather than wanting to be an OathKeeper for the status or rewards associated with the position.

5. Thorough knowledge of the game, and the ability to direct players to appropriate resources to help them (a list of these will be provided to you.)

6. The ability to contribute a significant amount of time per week to OathKeeper duties (official minimum 4 hours weekly.)
