I'm new here just dropping by to say Hi, so Hi.

But I figured since this was called an Community MMORPG I figured they would have a "Welcome New Player Section" or "Introduce yourself Section" >.> Well I guess since the website is new things can't be rushed!

Short self Introduction of myself would be I'm just a hardcore gamer who spends his time beta testing new games hoping to find one that would be my last :)

I'm 22 and spent the last 5 years beta testing most of the new games that have been coming out most recent being Windslayer. Counter Strike being the only game that I've stuck with for 7 years? Was back in 1.3 :rolleyes: I also wouldn't be able to list all of the MMOs I've ever played, but a few would be Darkages (Nexon/Kru Interactive My All Time Favorite MMORPG), Runescape (It Had 3 Servers Before!), and Guild Wars.

I hope to get to know everyone and have a good time here playing Dragon Oath.

Oh I'm also a big fan of anime/manga which is where I got my avatar from a manga called "Fairy Tail" You should all go check it out... GO NOW!

Other info: I found out about DO in MMOSite, where they posted an interview of this game. It seemed rather interesting, so thought I'd come and see how this'll be.

Played tons of mmos in the past, aswell as tested a few. So far I'd say my all-time favorite would have been Guild Wars, played that one for about 3 years.

And as a few of the fellow forumites have propably already noticed, I am rather random at times. But it's all in good humor, so bear with me :)

Other Info : I was abducted by hamsters at the age of 6. They conducted various experiments on me, none of which went too well. I was first fed some sort of concoction known as "water" and then forced to eat this strange substance they call 'food'. Back on my real planet, Texas ( It's a planet, too ), we only had couches and crystal balls. This planet was strange, and these mysterious hamster vermin even stranger. I was then dropped back to my home planet, supposedly unconscious, but I saw the whole thing.

I reported the incident to the local authorities, but they just laughed and dismissed the idea.

---Six years later, Age 12---

I am now keeping a diary of these strange abductions. After 6 years, I am once against abducted. This time? Wooden cars. These strange figures poke and prod me and ask me where I am from. I answer "Texas", and they look confused. It seems that the planet "Texas" was supposed to be uninhabited, but it was, in fact, very inhabited. I filled them in on the details, and they gave me an explanation.


20 Years ago was when it all began. There was a long and grueling war between the two main powers, the cars and the hamsters. The cars had the upper hand, and they had surrounded the hamster forces within their walls. They were planning a siege. Little did they know, that this siege was all a decoy, and that a huge amount of hamster forces was arriving at that moment to seal off the escape routes around the car forces surrounding the decoy. Once the cars realized this, they tried to resist, but it was too late. The hamsters had already sent in their most dangerous operators, the Special Ninja Hamsters, better known as the S.N.H., the most ferocious, dangerous, powerful soldiers. It is said in legends that a squadron of these S.N.H.'s had taken down millions of cars in a single battle.

The cars had no choice but to surrender to the hamsters. After millions of years, they had evolved and now had faster more agile forces, the Motorcycles and the Mopeds. Motorcycles were forces built for speed and for the purpose of moving a large army quickly. Mopeds were made for the heat of battle, and armed to the handle bars with weapons. With these new forces, the cars could plan a revolt and fight back. But they needed my help. I needed to fight with them. I went to my house and gathered some "Guitar Zero 3" plastic guitars and went to do battle.

One month later.

The hamsters were ferocious, but in the end, the cars one the battle. They reigned peacefully and saved the world from the terror the hamsters once caused.

I thought it was the end and that I would never be needed to fight again. I came to these forums to relax peacefully. But it was not to be.

Three days later

A surprise attack by the forgotten samurai hamsters was about to be carried out. They took out all of the motorcycles and half our mopeds. As they were fleeing the scene, I tailgated them and ambushed them ( by myself ) at the Pass of Gasoline. I once again took my dual guitars and was able to fight off a few of the samurais, but I needed reinforcements. They chased after me as I retreated to the car base. I alerted the cars when I was there, and they did battle with the last of the hamsters. It was a terrible battle. Gasoline was spewed everywhere, hamster food lined the streets. The whole castle was a wreck. But we had won.

After the castle was rebuilt, I came to live in these forums. Again.

There were a few places in your story that didn't add up. I believe you've been brainwashed to forget certain parts and you've messed up your story.

If the cars was planning the siege how did it become the hamsters' decoy?

I've played MMOs for the better part of 20 years, alpha and beta tested many games in that time, including the venerable UO, under many different aliases... although I keep coming back to this name. I am an avid poker; I usually poke someone on the shoulder to get their attention, but at times it seems necessary to poke others with sharp objects in defense of others. I even learned to play the game of poker, but gave it up when it became clear that I wouldn't be able to actually poke people... a deceiving name for game if you ask me.

I think 9 Dragons was pretty fun at the beginning but it becomes a grind fest later on I stayed up for like 4 days playing it lol.

My first mmo was a Korean free-to-play called Kalonline. Being an oldie, I came to gaming late in life through my son when I consented to buying him a PS2. So it was Ape Escape (hehe) -> Final Fantasy -> Drakan -> Kalonline, via a few other ps2 rpg's like Shadowhearts. I really resisted playing an mmo, not sure why now, but the minute I started Kalonline I was engrossed and hooked. After about 10 months or so I got tired of that one, and tried Saga of Ryzom, followed by Silkroad Online, WoW, Lord of the Rings, Everquest 2, WoW, Age of Conan, Dark Age of Camelot, Guild Wars, back to WoW. I briefly tried Perfect World and Chronicles of Spellborn. I'm currently playing Runes of Magic although it isn't holding my attention as much as I'd like.

I like mmorpg's (obviously), reading, walking/cycling in beautiful countryside, chatting with friends, eating good food etc.

Looking forward to meeting you all in-game sometime *waves*

Hiya jayarte, and welcome to our nice wholesome community, full of cheese, fun, and adventure! Mostly cheese... or maybe that is just my perspective... on life.
Anyways, welcome, and we hope you enjoy your stay. Lurk around the forums a bit, there are some screenshots and links to chinese gameplay videos, and more :)
Maybe you will find something that gets you hooked even before you start playing, as many of the people have :P
In case you don't know, the game just finished sending out its 2nd alpha wave. We now have 50 alpha testers. When is the next wave for more people to join... I wouldn't really know.
