Hide n Seek

The Basics: Come search a Predetermined Zone [TBA] for the GM and the OathKeepers! When you find them, prizes will be given out to the first 5 people who find them, and the GM and OK's will move to another location to be spotted!

How it works: This one's easy! Find the characters Game2Master [Zion] or Game1Master [Nirvana] or OathKeepers [http://us.changyou.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14850] when the event is announced in game. Once found, the GM or OK's will give out a prize to the first person who finds them before dashing off to another location to be found again. There are special prizes for the 1st player who finds them in the first 2 spots! Each GM or OK that is running the event will allow themselves to be found 5 times total. (5 different locations. If they change zones, you will be notified via System Chat)

Sorry but I see a problem with this one, what about the players who have these OathKeepers as friends, they will be able to check their location won't they? This will be unfair to the rest of the players imo

AS u can read it said "a predermined zone" so i think that they will tell us a wild field to search, so even if their friend know where they are, they wont know which coord, i mean we all will know in which map they are just like if u use friend info.. i think

Ah, I didn't think of that :| Well like it was mentioned, everyone will know what map we will be on, so as long as the friends list doesn't show the exact coordinates (I'm not sure that it does?) everyone should be at the same advantage.

I think what would be best is to disable friends from viewing their locations for the duration of the event just to make it fair for all players, everyone in Nirvana will add iScream to their friends list now just to get an advantage there.

Simply disabling the ability for people to see them is not an option unfortunately :/ It would require some development... And we all know how that goes.

And we will actually tell you which map we are specifically in when the event starts.

How does this differ from adding someone to your Temp list and finding where they are in that way? Doesn't it function the same way? I figure the only way around this is is everyone knows which map we are in when the event starts.

Temporary friend will still give away the location.

In other word, as long as you know the name of who you want to look (even the Game2Master or Game1Master), you will always able to get their location.

It will not show the coordinate unless they are in the same party.

Either this, or 1) GM should be undercover in an alt (in order to be complete anonymous) and 2) Oathkeeper can't be part of the checkpoint-er (since there is no guarantee that their friend will not have an advantage over a random player)

Then people won't know who to look for. If he announces himself then people can still add the GM's alt and track him regardless.

You should treat this event as an experiment at first. We will try it a couple different times and figure out what works best for everyone so that we can have the most amount of fun :)

Shinobu is lv66, so i used adv penetrate and found him.

Gumbee didnt use invi:).

Gumbee wasnt invisible. Madaral used adv. Penetrate to find Shinobu_Hiaso, whos not an oath keeper.

Right, it makes no sense at all for me to go invisible if the players can not find me. That wouldn't be fair to the players, besides I have no reason to.

With all that said, I hid in some really great places: Beggar boy in Da Li, Cupid Junior in Luo Yang, Flower girl in Da Li, monkey charmer in Su Zhou..and pet island where the red toad spawns. I handed out some extra prizes to those that came after the winners. For those that I flew pass by I'm sorry..didn't have enough prizes in my bag to hand out to each of you. It was fun, I had a blast! Oh...and more events to come.
