What are the system requirements? (7, Vista, XP)
These requirements are pulled from the issues we've dealt with on the forums and in emails from tens of thousands of user's computers and configurations. Please note, some laptops are not designed for 3d gaming. Neither are netbooks (the super light, small screened laptops). Just because something runs Windows, doesn't mean it can run 3d games well.
If your computer system was made in 2004, are running on a netbook, or before or have integrated graphics, you may have a challenge getting the game to run on your computer.
For Windows 7
1GB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
1.5Ghz CPU or later (Pent. 4 equivalent or greater)
For multi-core CPUs, you may need to adjust the Affinity to run the game on one CPU.
Graphics card or chipset must support Pixel and Vertex Shaders 2.0 or later (hardware
acceleration recommended), have 128MB(256MB or more rec) of RAM or more.
DirectX 11 or later.
9.0GB or hard drive space during installation
3.0GBs after installation and extracted files are deleted.
For Windows Vista
1GB RAM (2GB or more recommended)
1.5Ghz CPU or later (Pent. 4 equivalent or greater)
For multi-core CPUs, you may need to adjust the Affinity to run the game on one CPU.
Graphics card or chipset must support Pixel and Vertex Shaders 2.0 or later (hardware
acceleration recommended), have 128MB of RAM or more
DirectX 10 or later
Service Pack 2 installed.
9.0GB or hard drive space during installation
3.0GBs after installation and extracted files are deleted.
For Windows XP/2000
512MB RAM (1GB or more recommended)
1.5Ghz CPU or later (Pent. 4 equivalent or greater)
For multi-core CPUs, you may need to adjust the Affinity to run the game on one CPU.
Graphics card or chipset must support Pixel and Vertex Shaders 1.4 or later (hardware
acceleration recommended), have 64MB of RAM or more
DirectX 9.0c or later
For XP, have Service Pack 2 or 3 installed
For 2000, have Service Pack 4 installed
9.0GB or hard drive space during installation
3.0GBs after installation and extracted files are deleted.
For Windows 98/ME
256MB RAM (512MB or more heavily recommended)
900MHZ CPU or later (Pent. 4 equivalent or greater)
Graphics card or chipset must support Pixel and Vertex Shaders 1.4 or later (hardware
acceleration recommended), have 32MB of RAM or more (64MB or higher recommended)
DirectX 9.0c or later
9.0GB or hard drive space during installation
3.0GBs after installation and extracted files are deleted.
