gem setup

ok ive been thinking about what would the perfect gem setup be for a taoist and i cant think of one. I want a balance of good pve but with the ability to still be competitive in pvp. I will go full ruby, opal, anethyst and most likely full super citrine, but i dont know what else, should i add reflex gems and how much, is reflex gems or agility gems better... Things like that, that confuses me and makes it hard to choose. I want to use the 4th sockets for resistance but any advise from experienced taoists or people with knowledge of the class would be appreciated.

If your going full rubies then you cant add in agility gems.
My opinion is:

Clothes:Ruby,Resistance gem,Reflex
Accessories:Ruby,Opal,Amethyst
Weapon(Pvp):Alexandrite,Amethyst,Opal/Element Gem
Weapon(PvE):Amethyst,Opal,Alexandrite

My suggestion is

For Defensive Gear: Ruby, Garnet, Resistance, <Ruby>
Offensive: Opal, Amethyst, Element, <Element/Opal>

You need more Hit than Crit to do good in PvP; and if the opponent use pet with Adv Guard then even if your crit damage is 100k, it is still 0

you can add ANY gem into the 4th socket, meaning you can have 2 of same type. But you can't have have an offensive gem in a defensive equipment, that's all. For example, Opal can not be in Hat's 4th socket, but another ruby can.

Here is an example from 1 of my friend in vn sv, notice there's 2 Opal in the necklace.

well since we can add 2 gems of the same type on the 4th then that just makes it all the harder to decide xD i want rubies but i don't want to get hit as much. Might go on offensive, full opal, amethyst, citrine and in 4th either opal or citrine and for offensive i want ruby, (spinel/garnet) reflex and in 4th resistance and ruby, i really need to get resistance in there :(

ah u cant add Ruby or bloodstone in 4th socket once u added in other 3

Pretty straight forward. If you dont want to excell in just pvp or pve then just socket every gear you can with opals, ametyst, ruby, super citrine, reflex. Then add 4 gears with spinel and 2 with garnets. Last 2-3 sockets thats empty and the 4th sockets should be level 4 super resist, 3 of each element. Thats 99 resist against any element, you need tham for pve events like misty and swollows. Apart from that, it will help you against the royalties which are so harmful to taoists. No other class should be any problem. If you cant kill anyone with a ful range of skills and reset for round 2 of skills then you need to get better gear to add your gems to hehe

if you do that then theres like 3 empty slots left i think, maybe for ruby on the last 3 4th sockets. Thats close to 50k hp i think. That was also very helpful love thanks

well i will go full ruby, opal, amethyst and then i really would like to go full emerald aswell with my citrine aswell of course. Was thinking of adding 3 super lvl 4 poison resistance gems 1st in the open slots, then as i do MP i can start adding the 4th sockets and put in my element resists there... So much work ahead for me lol, wont bother with lvl 3 gems anymore, will go straight to lvl 4 before adding anything.
