Question: elements and their use

lets say my fire attack is +20.

1. Does it boost the damage of all my skills with additional fire damage?

2. I heard people said it increase my base spiritual damage, but I failed to understand how. Any help?

Any other info regarding element attack would be nice.

ur regular attack contain 2 caterogy.... ur main element and ur type of attack (i.e Magic or Phys). If you look closely.... really close at your attack animation, you can see a little flash effect when ur regular attack hit the enemy. example, Minstrel do their range attack, once in a while.... 1 out of 3, there will be a little red explosion when it hit the enemy, and about a 1 out 7 chance, there will be a bigger explosion ---> those are your element attack...

So boosting ur element will increase not only the damage in skill that contain that element, but also ur element attack.

Formula : say u have fire pwr of 20, then :

20 point = 20 more damage against human
20 point = 20 x 5 = 100 more damage against monster

Not so sure about class with a sub element, but many people tend to focus on the original element more, since their skill will benefit from that and not the sub element.

This is awesome information, but I have a quick question about Taoists. For Taoists it looks like their regular attacks are ice, but the main element is Thunder. Can you elaborate on this forumla maybe for Taoists? What would be the main focus since Taoists only have 1 thunder attack but have a main element for Thunder and a sub of Ice.

Taoist main element is Thunder, it look like ice because ur regular shot is blue --> energy ball.....You can tell that Taoist is Thunder because one of its strongest attack cause lightning damage (the unicorn thingy) and sometime there should be a yellowish flash at the end of ur attack. Almost everyone focus on the main element and ignore the sub element. Because at the version 3.0 of Dragon Oath ..... which was like last year, All class has only 1 element and there isn't a sub element at all. I never see anyone in other sv that add 2 element to 1 character or anyone that focus on their sub element. ..... So:

4 Element, 9 class :

Ice : L.O, Assassin
Thun: Taoist, Shao
Fire: Mins, Pyro
Pois : Beggar, Voodoo

From what i heard from all the pro Royalty : royalty can use any of the 4 element, but they benefit the most from Thunder element.... I don't know if this is true or not because Im not a full time Royalty

Cool I saw the thunder yellow burst per attack, but there are also blue sparkles that also fly off. Could it be that Taoists use both for their normal attack? Also thanks for the info Loanpham this really helped me a lot.

the yellow actually is white :D ...... yellowish- white.... that thing flash in Mins attack too :)
