Just curious..
Because they already have their own version of the game, and if they wern't IP blocked, theyd have a massive advantage compared to us when it comes to leveling, getting items, and... just about everything this game has. We are complete newbies to this game and need to learn, but they need to learn next to nothing..

I agree there should be IP block since they already have their own version.

theres no point of ip-blocking since they have their own game 99% of them will be playing that. S.E.A and ANZ should not be IP Blocked we havent got our own version :(

clancey you're missing the point. Anyone that has played the chinese version of the game knows 1000x more then anyone who's never played this game before[most of us]. There is an alpha tester who has played the chinese version and is higher lvl then everyone...

IP blocks would be a good idea. Though I'm sure Dragon Oath aficionados in the East would like to see how this version turns out. Maybe a temporary IP block?

Sorry but if someone is playing the Chinese version and comes to this one, he will be the first person to notice any bug's and other problems so he can report them, the stages are only in Alpha Test, by the time Open Beta starts am sure you will know most about the game, also accounts get deleted until OB starts usally so he will not have any advantage over you.

That makes sense.

depends on whether blocking other areas from playing was part of the deal to bring the game to North America.

well I somewhat Agree...
No offense, but if they in here most of them gonna be gold farming.
Also, you guys were right, Their have their own version which they know a lot more about the game than we all do. (that make them higher lvl and what advantage over us.)
I'm pretty sure if this game turn out well. We can attract load of players to play the game :)

They have their own version, they have no reason to play ours. /Nazi Salute\ IP BLOCK!
Decides, they would lag here, would be unable to really get any parties going since they would be playing when we would be asleep & be unable to communicate (Unless the person knew english). They would be nothing but a general nuisance to players trying to be community focused. As long as they have their own version, they can play their own version & leave our version alone.
Just IMO.

Nothing better then 2 country's going at it in a game tho :p US/UK Vs China, pretty fun in other games i played but usually Spanish or Romanian, i really doubt you will see any Chinese on this version.

Personally, I don't think that we should IP-block. Like others have said, by the time the game is completely out of beta, we'll probably know as much about the games basics as any Asian player. Also, they'll probably want to test this game out and see how it works as well. Chances are, most are going to stay in China Dragon Oath, because they've already started over there.

hey all. just my view:
you guys got to understand that not all asians like to play games in chinese. I am one of them. I havent play this game before just because they were in chinese. This is probably the first server translated to english as far as i know. The solution to the unfair advantage is that we can have longer testing periods so that we can learn almost everything, then when the real thing starts we wont be far behind.

china has its own dragon oath...so don't make sense to ask them to play on the US version i think
